ATLANTA — Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines is spreading the love to its employees this Valentine's Day by paying out hefty bonuses through their profit-sharing program.
Employees are set to receive a check for 10.4% of their earnings, equaling over a month's pay, according to a release.
Delta brought in a whopping $58 billion in revenue in 2023, allowing the airline to give the bonuses to its more than 100,000 employees worldwide.
Of the $1.4 billion in payments going to employees globally, Georgia workers are set to receive $595 million.
“Delta’s people-first culture has always been core to our business, going back to our founder, C.E. Woolman,” said Joanne Smith, Delta’s E.V.P. and Chief People Officer. “An important part of that culture is sharing our successes. This year’s $1.4 billion profit-sharing payment is a direct result of the hard work and persistence shown by Delta people each day.”
The profit-sharing program has paid out a total of $11 billion since its inception in 2007.
