ATLANTA -- A wanted fugitive is now behind bars in Atlanta after police say he fled the area after a brutal kidnapping and double murder.

Richard "Fathead" Wilson was booked into the Fulton County jail overnight. He's charged with kidnapping and killing a pregnant woman and her boyfriend.

Wilson chose not to see a judge early Saturday morning, which means he'll stay in jail for the time being.

The convicted felon is charged with murder, kidnapping and illegally possessing a weapon.

Police say on August 30th, Wilson and his alleged accomplice Andre Gay kidnapped Jeronta Brown and Briana Brooks in front of Brown's Mother's house in Dekalb County. The family tells us the kidnappers demanded a ransom of 150 thousand dollars.

Brooks and Brown were found 17 miles away in Atlanta, handcuffed and shot. Brown died that day, but Brooks was kept alive long enough to deliver the couple's second child. She was laid to rest three weeks ago.

"Within 30 days of this violent murder we have identified and apprehended two individuals that had a significant role in that homicide," said Det. Paul Guerrucci, Commander of the APD Homicide unit.

Atlanta Police say they've received a lot of help from the public through crimestoppers. But these two arrests are just the tip of the iceberg.

Police believe there are other suspects out there and they say they will be caught.

"Anyone that had any involvement in this violent kidnapping and homicide we will diligently seek you out," Guerrucci said.
