ATLANTA -- A teenager has died after being shot in Downtown Atlanta overnight.
The victim, 18-year-old Montavious Washington, was shot on Broad Street at around 10:45 p.m. Monday.
Atlanta Police Capt. Jonathan Durant said Washington got into a fight with a suspect shortly before the shooting. After being shot in the chest, Washington ran from the scene and collapsed in the 200 block of Trinity Avenue. He was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Durant said police are interviewing witnesses and searching for possible suspects.
