BARROW COUNTY, Ga. -- One driver was killed and another was hurt in a two-vehicle accident in Barrow County Tuesday morning.
The wreck happened at around 6 a.m. on Highway 316 near Bethlehem.
The Georgia State Patrol investigated the accident. A spokesperson said the driver of a Ford Explorer tried to turn left onto Highway 81 from Highway 316. The Explorer turned into the path of a Ford F-250 pickup truck, causing a collision.
The force of the impact flipped the Explorer. Its driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name has not been released, pending notification of the next of kin.
The 38-year-old F-250 driver was injured and taken to a nearby hospital.
The accident is under investigation.
