Dunwoody High School student sent to hospital after medical emergency, officials say

The school was unable to share specific details on why the student was sent to the hospital.

DUNWOODY, Ga. — A Dunwoody High School student was sent to the hospital following a medical emergency on Monday, officials said. 

The news was shared in a letter from Dunwoody High School Principal Tom Bass. However, due to federal law, the school is unable to share specific medical details. A spokesperson for the district told 11Alive the medical transport happened Monday morning. 

"I would like to commend our outstanding students and staff for their prompt and organized response," Bass wrote. "Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we work together to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all our students."
