Authorities arrested Abdul-Ghani's father, Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, along with four others earlier this month during a raid on the compound. Eleven children were found in what officials described as "third-world" living conditions. They are all facing child abuse charges.

Abdul-Ghani's mother reported him missing in December 2017 after he and his father didn't return from a trip to the park. His mother filed for a divorce from Siraj December 21, a few weeks after she reported her son missing.

Abdul-Ghani's remains were found on his 4th birthday, August 6.

The Clayton County Sheriff's Office notified the Taos County Jail to release their hold on Siraj, because they cannot prove a felony offense occurred in Clayton County.

Warrants for Siraj's arrest claimed he took his son to perform an exorcism on the child and was denying Abdul-Ghani Wahhaj's medications.
