School bus crash in Monroe County sends eight students to the hospital

The crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

MONROE COUNTY, Georgia — Eight students were taken to a local hospital after a school bus was rear-ended in Monroe County, according to a post from the school district. 

It happened on North Frontage Road in front of the America’s Best Value Inn just before 7:30 a.m. Eight middle and high school students were taken to Monroe County Hospital for treatment. 

The rest of the students were taken to the school. The release says that no major injuries were reported. 

The Forsyth Police Department worked the crash.
