FBI, GBI, family of missing Laurens County man launch large search party

82-year-old Garland Warren's family says he has dementia. He was seen in Roberta at Frozen Joe's on East Agency Street last week.

ROBERTA, Ga. — On Monday, the family of a missing Laurens County man launched the largest search party yet since he was last seen one week ago.

82-year-old Garland Warren's family says he has dementia.

They say Garland was last seen wearing a camouflage shirt and blue jeans. He was driving a black Toyota pickup truck with the tag # BTQ2000.

He was seen in Roberta at Frozen Joe's on East Agency Street last week.

Family says he left his home in Rentz on Monday and never returned.

In the north part of Crawford County was one of the last places a FLOCK camera picked up Warren's truck and one of the last places someone saw him.

On Monday morning, 20 groups split up into different parts of the county to search, including agents with the FBI and GBI and other agencies and volunteers.

People continue to search for him in planes, on foot, in cars, and even on four-wheelers.

Roberta Police Chief Ty Matthews said Crawford County is large and has a lot of back roads and rural areas so they need all the help they can get.

Matthews says he does not believe Warren left Crawford County.

They will continue searching through the afternoon.

If you have any information on where Garland Warren could be, you can call the Laurens County Sheriff's Office at 478-272-1522.
