FANNIN COUNTY, Ga. -- A 60-year old man faces charges after an accident that killed a Fannin County judge Sunday.
Investigators say Judge Ronald Newton was riding his motorcycle with his wife on Mineral Bluff near Highway 60, when a car hit them head-on.
Rita Newton was taken to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, where she is being treated for her injuries.
Police say 60-year-old Larry Jones of Morganton was driving that car and is now in custody.
