KENNESAW, Ga. — A man was hit by a vehicle and killed on Cherokee Street near Shiloh Road early Sunday morning in Kennesaw, police said.
The Cobb County Police Department said preliminary information indicated 48-year-old Earl Cunningham was walking across Cherokee Street outside of crosswalk boundaries when a Black Chevrolet Silverado collided with him.
Cunningham was pronounced dead on the scene after being found in the left turning lane on Cherokee Street by investigators.
Neither the driver nor the passenger of the Chevrolet Silverado were injured during the crash.
It is unclear whether charges are being filed against the driver at this time.
