DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police say a 45-year-old man died Monday evening in a car crash in DeKalb County, just outside Avondale Estate city limits.
The DeKalb County Police Department said officers responded to the crash on Mountain Drive just after 5:30 p.m.
"When they arrived they located two vehicles damaged from the accident," a police statement said. The driver of one of the vehicles, the 45-year-old man, "was found to be deceased at the scene."
That man has not been identified.
The other driver was "transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries," DKPD said.
Investigators are further looking into the cause of the wreck. No details were available on exactly how it was caused.
