DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Thirty people were displaced after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in Brookhaven early Tuesday morning, according to DeKalb County Fire Rescue.
It happened around 3 a.m. when DeKalb County firefighters responded to the structure fire at Hillcrest Apartments on Buford Highway in Brookhaven.
The building, which had eight units, was engulfed in flames. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and no one was injured.
The American Red Cross is assisting the 30 residents who were displaced.
Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
