Fire breaks out at beloved Jamaican restaurant on Northside Drive in Atlanta

ATLANTA — Police and fire crews are currently on the scene of a massive fire on Northside Drive on Saturday.

Shortly after noon, crews said they were responding to a scene at 180 Northside Dr. That address pulls up a group of restaurants and businesses. 

However, photos and videos from the scene appear to show flames coming from Dat Fire Jerk Chicken, a restaurant just a short walk away at 226 Northside Dr. Atlanta Fire later confirmed with 11Alive that Dat Fire Jerk Chicken was indeed the actual location of the fire.

All lanes on Northside Drive were temporarily closed, according to firefighters, as they worked to bring the blaze under control.
