Ex-Lithonia High School teacher indicted after alleged sexual relationship with student, DA says

A preliminary investigation revealed that the student's mother had reported the "inappropriate relationship" to school officials in March 2022, according to the DA.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A former Lithonia High School teacher and track coach has been indicted after allegedly having a relationship with one of his students. 

According to a news release from the DeKalb County District Attorney's Office on Tuesday,  Marcus Lyndell Skeen, 38, was indicted on two counts of sexual contact by an employee or agent in the first degree. 

A preliminary investigation revealed that the student's mother had reported the "inappropriate relationship" to school officials in March 2022, according to the DA's Office.

Once Skeen has been arraigned, the DA's Office said a trial date will be set.
