Wilson is survived by his wife Janet Coats Wilson, daughter Lee Bradley, two grandchildren and many friends and coworkers. He loved spending time outdoors, and especially enjoy fishing, the county added.

“The Fulton County family is mourning the loss of a beloved friend and colleague,” Fulton County Commissioners Chairman Pitts said. “Our hearts are with the Wilson family as well as our entire Public Works team during this difficult time.”

A funeral will be held for Wilson on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m.  The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany at 2089 Ponce de Leon Ave NE in Atlanta. A reception will follow in Parish Hall.

In lieu of flowers, his family is asking to consider donating in memory of Wilson to the nonprofit organization Trout Unlimited or C.A.S.T For Kids, an organization that focuses on children with special needs through fishing.
