GAINESVILLE, Ga – A man was arrested Monday afternoon after a brief SWAT standoff.
Police say David Gene Turbin, 33, refused to leave his home when deputies arrived to serve an arrest warrant.
Turbin was being arrested on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
After police tried to get Turbin to leave his residence voluntarily, a SWAT team used chemical agents to coax him from the house.
Turbin was taken into custody without further incident. No one was injured.
