GAINESVILLE, Ga. - A middle school in Gainesville has been evacuated after police found a threat.
Police report Gainesville Middle School has evacuated for precautionary purposes. All students are safe and accounted for off the premises, according to Gainesville Police's Facebook.
A safety sweep is currently being conducted on campus but in the meantime, the students were relocated. Police said they are not releasing the students to parents at this time.
A representative from the Gainesville City Schools said a bomb threat was found in one of the bathrooms at the school this morning. That prompted the evacuation and police sweep.
