HALL COUNTY, Ga. – Jeff Hood was named the new acting chief of Hall County Fire Services on Monday.
The news comes only weeks after three firefighters fell more than 40 feet during a training accident.
11Alive uncovered the fire truck involved had a troubled history -- something the county should have known when making the decision to purchase it.
The current chief, David Kimbrell, will now oversee Emergency Management.
