ATLANTA — Georgia's first lady Marty Kemp is doing her part to stop human trafficking.
On Tuesday, she joined the Georgians for Refuge, Action, Compassion, and Education commission in announcing $153 million in grants that will go to fight human trafficking in the state.
Atlanta has some of the highest human trafficking numbers in the US, according the FBI.
"With these grants, this will really move the needle,” she said.
More than $4 million will go to law enforcement to investigate and prosecute human traffickers.
The money will also support those recovered from human trafficking.
