GRANTVILLE, Ga. — A Grantville Police Corporal died after having an apparent heart attack on Sunday, according to the police department.
Cpl. Kevin Enfinger was heading home from patrolling at 5:30 p.m. when he had what appeared to be a heart attack, the police department wrote in a social media post.
A bystander found Enfinger in the middle of the road and started performing CPR, but the department said the police corporal did not regain consciousness and was pronounced dead at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Enfinger has been employed with the Grantville Police Department for four years, where he was a field training officer and over the department's vehicles.
"I really am at a loss of words....I thank all of my friends that have reached out. We need to pray for his wife, brother, and father. Arrangements will be posted when available. Thank you for your support," Grantville Police concluded in the social media post.
