Driver killed in Gwinnett County crash; 16-year-old deemed at fault, being charged with second degree vehicular homicide

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A driver was killed in Gwinnett County early Friday morning in a crash that police say was caused by a 16-year-old who is now being charged with second degree vehicular homicide.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, the 16-year-old made a left turn from Sugarloaf Parkway onto Villa Ridge Parkway, causing the crash.

They said the other driver was taken to a hospital where he died. No identifying information about that driver was available, and the 16-year-old's identity was not released.
