Subjects in custody after major police response to suspected burglary in Gwinnett County

It unfolded along Hwy. 78 near the intersection with Highpoint Rd.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — The Gwinnett County Police Department said Wednesday morning that "we believe all subjects are in custody" after a major police response to what they said was a suspected burglary.

The 11Alive SkyTracker flew over the scene along Hwy. 78 near the intersection with Highpoint Rd. as numerous GCPD vehicles were at an automotive store near the light on Walton Ct./Evermore N. Blvd. SW.

"We were investigating a possible burglary in the area of 3040 W Main St in Snellville. We believe all subjects are in custody at this time," a Gwinnett Police statement said.

That address corresponds with a Maaco Auto Body Shop store.

11Alive sent a crew to the location to learn more details about the incident.

It did not appear that Hwy. 78 was closed in either direction.
