HALL COUNTY, Ga. - Firefighters in Hall County battled a house fire on the 6700 block of Capitola Farm Road around 5:25 a.m., Tuesday morning.
When fire crews arrived on scene, they found the 1,000 square-foot home fully engulfed in flames.
One resident was home at the time fire started and was able to make it out of the home safely with no injury.
Capitola Farm Road was shut down in both directions for until about 7:45 a.m.
Investigators determined the fire was accidental and caused by a wood heater. The value of the home is approximately $50,000 and was a total loss. The American Red Cross has been contacted to provide assistance to the resident.
