ATLANTA — Editor's note: The video above is previous coverage of the incident.

Georgia State Patrol troopers were on the scene of an officer-involved crash along Howell Mill Road in Atlanta on Tuesday night following a chase with police.

According to GSP, the incident started with a Cobb County Police Department officer chasing a Gray Jeep Gladiator from Austell Road. Authorities still have not said what started the chase but added that the suspect drove through several streets onto the interstate southbound into Atlanta.

That's when they exited and continued to Northside Drive, where they hit two cars. Troopers said the driver hit another car after turning left onto Howell Mill Road southbound. This was when Cobb Police decided to conduct a PIT maneuver, causing the Jeep to rotate counterclockwise and roll over onto its roof. GSP said a patrol car ended up on top of the Jeep as the two cars came to a complete stop.

Authorities said the driver of the Jeep was placed under arrest and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Charges were not released. GSP did not say if any law enforcement officials were hurt in the incident but added that Howell Mill Road remained closed for about 2 hours to investigate the crash.
