ATLANTA — UPDATE 2: Georgia State Patrol now says of this incident: "This was a call for someone experiencing a medical episode that was transported to a local medical facility for evaluation and treatment."
UPDATE: At about 7 a.m., the situation appeared to be resolved with police units leaving the scene. 11Alive is still working to find out exactly what happened.

A Georgia Department of Transportation HERO unit is stopped early Tuesday morning on I-75/85 in Midtown Atlanta after a person was standing in front of it.
It was unclear how the situation began. Police were on the scene near North Avenue.
The HERO (Highway Emergency Response Operator) unit was stopped on the right shoulder, and one right lane appeared to be blocked from the situation as of 6:50 a.m.
The 11Alive SkyTracker flew over the scene, where the person at one point could be observed standing in front of the unit. Someone inside the HERO unit appeared to be pointing a flashlight out at the person. It was not initially clear if they were communicating in any way.
