Martin was wearing a hoodie when he was shot by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman. He was unarmed, carrying only a packet of Skittles and can of iced tea.
Organizers of Monday's rally are urging Atlantans to wear hoodies and carry bags of Skittles in Martin's memory.
The group is also calling for a change to Georgia's "Stand Your Ground" law, which allowsthe use deadly force as self-protection if youfearyour life is in danger.
Florida has a similar law. Zimmerman claims he shot Martin in self-defense and has not been arrested. However, the FBI, Justice Department and state of Florida are now investigating the killing.
