ATLANTA -- A MARTA bus and an SUV were involved in an accident Thursday morning.
It happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Moreland Avenue near Hardee Street in northeast Atlanta.
Atlanta Police Capt. Janet Brady said the SUV sideswiped the bus, then tried to drive away. The impact caused the bus to crash head-on into a tree.
Brady said two people aboard the bus were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Police caught up with the SUV driver and charged that person with hit and run, attempting to elude, bald tires and driving without a license. The driver's name was not released.
