PrizePicks to open new headquarters in Atlanta, bringing 1,000 jobs

The new facility is estimated to bring $25 million to the city, showcasing Georgia's tech growth.

ATLANTA — Governor Brian P. Kemp announced Thursday that PrizePicks, a major daily fantasy sports company, will set up its new 33,000-square-foot headquarters in Atlanta. The move is set to inject $25 million into the city and create 1,000 new jobs over the next seven years.

"Georgia continues to be a leader in tech growth and innovation, drawing in innovative companies with our talented workforce and strong infrastructure," Gov. Kemp stated. "Today's announcement shows our ability to attract new projects and help existing businesses expand and succeed. I'm excited to see the positive impact these jobs will have on the Atlanta community."

PrizePicks is recognized as the fastest-growing sports company in North America, according to the Inc. 5000 2023 rankings. The company has also been hailed as one of the top 10 innovative companies by the Technology Association of Georgia.

The new headquarters will be located at the Star Metals Building at 1055 Howell Mill Road in Midtown Atlanta. 

"We're proud to call Atlanta our home, where we're revolutionizing mobile sports entertainment," PrizePicks Co-founder and CEO Adam Wexler said. "This move to Star Metals will allow us to create more high-skilled and well-paying jobs in our wonderful city while strengthening our connections within the community."

Local officials enthusiastically welcomed the announcement. Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Robb Pitts praised PrizePicks' decision to locate in the county.

“We celebrate this exciting announcement by PrizePicks to locate their most critical corporate functions in Fulton County,” Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Robb Pitts said. “It’s great to add PrizePicks to a long line of major global operations that have grown in Fulton due to our nationally competitive workforce, premium real estate and diverse communities.”

Representatives from the Georgia Department of Economic Development's (GDEcD) Global Commerce team, along with partners like the Metro Atlanta Chamber, Invest Atlanta, Select Fulton, and Georgia Power, facilitated the project.
