JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — A Georgia dog park has been ranked among the best dog parks in the nation, according to a new list by USA Today.
Newton Dream Dog Park, off Old Alabama Road in Johns Creek, Georgia, has been named the second-best dog park in the U.S.
The fenced-in one-acre park has artificial turf, sprinklers for dogs to play in, obstacles to play in and water fountains. Newtown Dog Park also has separate areas for large and small dogs.
"Thank you to everyone that voted and congratulations to all Johns Creek residents,” Johns Creek Mayor John Bradberry said in a release. “Not only does this say that we have a great dog park, but it also says something bigger about Johns Creek. It shows how our community engaged en masse to demonstrate our pride in our hometown. For that, I could not be more proud.”
