While making a routine traffic stop, a Kennesaw Police Department officer discovered a taser that was disguised to look like an ordinary pack of cigarettes.
The officer was speaking with the driver outside of the car and the driver repeatedly asked if they could have a "smoke". The officer said no.
Come to find out, those "smokes" were actually a taser that could have potentially been used to harm the officer.
The Kennesaw Police Department asks that the public "please forgive us when we seem to act too rigid and mean when we say no to your request to smoke or make a phone call with your phone, etc. We're just trying to make it home at the end of our shifts like everyone else out here."
