BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — A fire has broke out in Brookhaven along railroad tracks that run alongside Peachtree Road NE near Redding Road NE on Wednesday afternoon, according to DeKalb Fire and Rescue.
DeKalb County Fire said there appears to be a "significant amount of fire" coming from the tracks. Fire crews are asking for additional crews to come out and help put out the flames. The tracks appear to be right near Ashford Park.
It's unclear at this time which train company the tracks belong to. It's unclear at this time how the fire started.
