GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- Police say a tip led them to a man they suspect robbed a bank in Peachtree Corners.
Police say the man walked into the Piedmont Bank just before noon on March 30. He handed the teller a note and demanded cash.
The suspect fled after getting an undisclosed amount of money.
Thanks to a tip, detectives were able to identify the suspect as 56-year-old Gary Early. Investigators found Early at a hotel. After executing a search warrant, police said they found clothing worn during the robbery, $200 in cash and journal stationary that allegedly matched the note handed to the teller.
Early was booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center and charged with robbery by intimidation.
