LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- A total of 18 people were displaced Saturday morning in a Gwinnett County apartment fire.
The fire happened at The Oxford Apartment Homes on Club Lakes Parkway in unincorporated Lawrenceville.
A 911 caller reported flames coming from the roof.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find a fire in a two-story, wood-framed apartment building.
The blaze caused extensive fire damage to the attic space above three units. Six units on the left side of the building sustained moderate water and smoke damage. No injuries were reported.
Officials said the fire originated in an attic, but have not determined a cause.
The American Red Cross is assisting those displaced.
