GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- The Highway 316 west bridge to Interstate 85 south in Gwinnett County has reopened after closing on Tuesday for emergency repairs.
The Georgia Department of Transportation shut down the bridge after discovering a rut between the asphalt road and the concrete bridge structure.
Drivers were allowed to use the Express Lane for free while crews filled in the opening with a wedge of asphalt. GDOT said it was reopened by 3 p.m.
