COLLEGE STATION, Texas - She provides the soundtrack for holiday shoppers coming in and out of Post Oak Mall. As a bell ringer for the Salvation Army, Peggy Campise spends her time jingling away and holding the doors open for people.

"Sometimes I wear a Rudolph outfit, sometimes I wear a Santa Clause outfit," said Campise, who keeps a bag of warmer clothes by her feet in case things get chilly. She also says two bells are better than one.

"More noise we make, better off we are!"

Sometimes people stop and talk to Campise, and sometimes they make a donation.

"I don't care if its a penny in my can," said Campise. "A penny adds up for a dollar."

Campise has been working as a bell ringer for 20 years and it's her way of giving back.

"I cannot give money for Salvation Army," she said. "I can give my time for them."

But most of all, it's just a good feeling.

"When they tell me 'thank you,' that means they appreciate me out here ringing. "
