Man arrested after climbing Macon business, tampering with A/C unit, sheriff's office says

They say it happened at around 10:15 p.m. on Monday.

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff's Office arrested a man on Monday after witnesses saw them on top of a local business, according to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office press release.

They say Tye Alan Tyson, 39, was arrested on Monday after deputies responded to Great Furniture & Mattress on the 3400 block of Pio Nono Avenue.

Callers reported "an unknown" man on the business's roof at around 10:15 p.m., the press release said.

When a deputy arrived, they found a ladder on the back of the building, and when the deputy climbed the ladder, Tyson was seen tampering with the business's A/C units.

The press release said Tyson was arrested and taken to the Bibb County jail.

Now, Tyson was charged with felony second-degree burglary and probation violation. He is being held without bond at this time.
