ATLANTA — A man burned to death late Saturday night after catching fire near the I-75 southbound ramp just south of Downtown Atlanta, fire officials said.
Atlanta Fire Rescue firefighters responded to the ramp near South Central Avenue SW near Hapeville around 9:15 p.m. after they received calls of a man on fire.
When they got there, they found a man with severe burns and no signs of life, along with a Hapeville Police officer and a bystander who were also at the scene.
Grady Hospital EMTs declared the man dead at the scene, fire officials said.
Atlanta Fire Rescue and Atlanta Police Department are investigating the man's death and how he caught on fire.
