ATLANTA - MARTA spokesperson Alisa Jackson says a man was struck and killed by a train just before 7 a.m. on Wednesday.
Jackson says the man was trespassing on the train tracks at the Edgewood-Candler Park MARTA station when he was hit. He suffered injuries to his head and arm. He was pronounced dead at Grady Hospital.
MARTA Police are investigating.
The incident has caused heavy delays.
Due to an emergency situation at Candler Park, extensive delays remaining on the Blue/Green line.

As of 11 a.m. on Wednesday, service at the Edgewood-Candler Park station was back to normal.
