COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Cobb County Police have charged two men in a fatal shooting at a motel.
Officers were dispatched shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday to the Masters Inn in the 2600 block of Windy Hill Road. When they arrived, they found the victim, 32-year-old Demetrius Towns of Atlanta, lying in a breezeway. He was pronounced dead of multiple gunshot wounds.
Minutes after the shooting, officers caught and arrested 23-year-old Fredrick Hodge of Marietta. They questioned and then arrested 26-year-old Joseph Cory McCoy, also of Marietta.
Both suspects are being held without bond in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on charges of felony murder, aggravated assault and firearm possession by a convicted felon.
