ATLANTA — MARTA riders heading to and from Arts Center station can expect some delays on Saturday after a train struck an employee.

Transit officials said the employee, who was working on the tracks, suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was conscious while being taken to Grady Hospital.

Due to the incident, which happened around 11:30 a.m., one side of the tracks is currently blocked.

According to MARTA, "Northbound and Southbound trains are now traveling on the southbound tracks between Arts Center and Lindbergh."

However, due to the disruption, MARTA offers commuters at Lindbergh, Arts Center, and Midtown stations an $8 Uber credit.
