ATLANTA — MARTA trains will temporarily skip Brookhaven Station from Oct. 7 to Nov. 15 for construction to replace the station’s 40-year-old platform pavers.
Gold Line service will run as scheduled, but trains during the six-week project will not stop at the station.
MARTA will provide bus shuttles between Brookhaven and nearby Lenox and Chamblee stations. Local bus routes will run as usual, and free parking is available at Lenox, Chamblee, and Doraville stations. Riders should allow an extra 15 minutes for travel when using the shuttle.
The project is part of MARTA’s multi-year, $1 billion Station Rehabilitation Program, which aims to improve safety and aesthetics at 38 rail stations.
