One hospitalized after McDonough shooting on Saturday

The shooting happened on the edge of the Henry County city in the Creekwood Station subdivision, police said.

MCDONOUGH, Ga. — Police are working to gather more information after one person was shot in a subdivision on the edge of McDonough on Saturday afternoon.

Henry County Police said the shooting happened around 5 p.m. on Saturday in the Creekwood Station subdivision on Prity Court just outside the city limits of McDonough.

Police haven't yet released details on how the shooting came about but said that the victim, a male who hasn't been identified, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with at least one gunshot wound. As of that time, he was listed as stable but his exact condition wasn't released.

A spokesperson for the department said police are still actively investigating the incident. They haven't released any details on whether they have a suspect identified or in custody.
