DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A woman is critically hurt after being shot multiple times in DeKalb County Friday night, according to the police department.
Authorities responded to the shooting at 10:16 p.m. at the 4800 block of Memorial Drive. When officers arrived, they found the woman with multiple gunshot wounds.
She was taken to the hospital by EMS with life-threatening injuries, the police department said.
DeKalb Police said they have a possible suspect in custody in a nearby motel but did not specify which one.
"Our SWAT Team has been requested to the scene to assist with securing the location. Detectives have been notified and are responding as well," the police department added.
No other details have been released from authorities at this time.
