On Sunday, the nation honors the men and women who have served in the armed forces to protect our freedoms. As such, a number of businesses in and around north Georgia will be generously offering gifts of charity in the form of free food and services on Veterans Day.
Below is a list of locations which will be benefiting veterans in the area. Each event listed applies to Sunday, November 11, unless otherwise noted.
U.S. National Park Service: Every national park around the country will offer free entry to any veteran who wishes to visit. The U.S. National Park Service notes this is the last free entrance day of the year.
Waffle House: All veterans will be able to receive one (1) free waffle at any Waffle House location around the country. A coupon, found here, is required to receive the waffle; it must be printed. To find a location near you, visit their website.
QuikTrip is giving a free self-serve drink to any active or former military members. The free self-serve drink includes any of the following: self-serve coffee or cappuccino of any size, Big Q fountain or tea, and self-serve Freezoni and smoothies. By showing military ID at checkout, members can redeem their free drink available at any QT location during any hour of the day on Veteran’s Day.
Great Clips: Veterans and current members of the military can get a free haircut on Nov. 11 or a free haircut card that can be used at a later date. Anyone who is not in the military that purchases a haircut on Nov. 11 will receive a free haircut card that they can give to a veteran they know. All haircut cards are redeemable until Dec. 31. Bonefish Grill: Free Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer for veterans on Sunday
