ATLANTA — Rents are still falling in metro Atlanta.
Atlanta joins fellow Southern metros Austin and Memphis in seeing some of the greatest drops in asking rent prices year-over-year, according to a March rental report from Realtor.com.
Across the 50 largest metro areas analyzed for the report, Atlanta saw the fourth-largest decrease in pricing for studio, one- and two-bedroom units. Asking rents dropped nearly 4% in the metro area over the past 12 months.
The median rental price for studio to two-bedroom units in metro Atlanta was $1,626, less than the national median asking rent of $1,722.
March marked the eighth consecutive month of year-over-year rental decreases nationwide.
