QuikTrip opens its first non-fuel location in midtown Atlanta on Thursday as a concept store for urban customers seeking convenience items.
The location is at the corner of 6th and Peachtree streets in the lower floor of the Viewpoint building, and will feature the same sorts of items as QT’s other locations, with an expanded QT Kitchens counter, which has grown throughout the chain’s locations over the past couple of years.
“We are excited to bring our newest store concept to Atlanta and think this is the perfect location to debut our first non-fuel store in many years.” said Chet Cadieux, QuikTrip Chairman and CEO. “We feel this will provide the convenience that residents in Midtown desire, as well as give them a fast and delicious option for fresh, made-to-order food and beverages from our QT Kitchen.”
This is QT’s only non-fuel test market location at this time. Company officials said the concept is part of their long-term strategy to grow and serve non-traditional market segments.
Tulsa-based QuikTrip was founded in 1958, and now has more than 700 locations in 11 states across the South and Southeast. The company has been listed among Fortune Magazine’s list of Best Companies to Work For annually for the past 13 years.
