17-year-old diagnosed with mental illness missing from Stockbridge

Aldo Hernandez walked away from home on Tuesday following an argument, police said.

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. — Police in Clayton County are looking for a missing 17-year-old who they said has been diagnosed with mental illness.

Aldo Hernandez was last seen on Tuesday at about 9 a.m. Police said he left his home in the 1100 block of Hannover Circle in Stockbridge without permission following an argument.

Authorities said he has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, paranoid schizophrenia and major depression.

Hernandez is described as a 17-year-old Hispanic male standing 5-feet-8-inches tall, weighing about 132 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and gray pants.

Investigators are asking for anyone with information about Hernandez's whereabouts to contact the Clayton County Police Department at 770-477-3550.
