Authorities in Athens are asking the public to be on the lookout for two men reported missing days before Christmas.
According to Athens-Clarke County Police Joshua Jackson and Derrick Ruff haven't been seen since Dec. 20, when they were reported missing - Jackson by his father and Ruff by his girlfriend.
A police report for the department says that Jackson's father Gerald last saw his son Dec. 18 riding his moped at Howard Paint and Body Shop off Broad Street. The moped was later found a few miles away on Oak Hill Drive.
Two days later, Gerald said he was contacted by a woman named Kiki who said she hadn't heard from Jackson since Dec. 20. According to Kiki, she last saw Jackson with Derrick Ruff as they left the area of Oak Hill Drive in a white Ford Expedition with a Georgia tag RJM2857.

Kiki told Gerald that the pair said they would be back around 3 a.m., but they never came back. According to Kiki, Jackson and Ruff had been talking to another person before their disappearance, but it's unclear of who that person was.
Gerald told police he doesn't know of any enemies or threats made against his son. Friends and family of the men told police it is unusual for them to be out of contact for this amount of time.
Police are asking for anyone with information about Jackson and Ruff to contact Det. Derek Scott at Derek.Scott@accgov.com or 706-613-3338, ext. 329.
