GEORGIA, USA — Multiple law enforcement agencies, along with friends and family across the Carolinas and Georgia, are thankful the search for a missing man out of Greenville County, South Carolina, has to come to an end with him being found safe.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina said the last confirmed sighting of the 66-year-old man was just across the state line in Oconee County, South Carolina, near Stumphouse Station Road on Highway 28 around 11 p.m. on Aug. 21.
Detectives believed he could have gone towards Rabun or Franklin County in Georgia.
On Saturday, the man was thankfully found alive and safe in the woods near Mountain Rest, South Carolina -- just across the Georgia state line. He had been lost and confused the whole time.
