CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — The search is on for a metro Atlanta father and Lyft driver who was last seen nearly two weeks ago in Cherokee County.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding 57-year-old Leonard John Beiner, who was last seen in the Ball Ground area of July 18.

Beiner was working part-time as a Lyft driver and was scheduled to drop off a fare in Jacksonville, Florida, around the time of his disappearance, deputies said.

His family said he has not been answering his phone calls, and they have not been able to reach him at all. Deputies said that Beiner was last seen driving a blue Hyundai Santa Fe with an unknown Florida license plate number.

Beiner is 5-foot-7, weighs 225 pounds and has blue eyes and gray hair. He walks with a cane, according to his missing persons report.
